Thompson Rivers University Write for Rights Workshop

You’re invited to join the TRUSU Equity Committee as we host Amnesty International’s Write for Rights campaign to join millions of people around the world and fight for global human rights! This annual campaign uses the power of letter-writing to influence world leaders to protect individuals or communities whose human rights have been denied.

Everyone is invited to join our virtual session to learn more about the campaign and start writing letters to state authorities who have the power to end human rights abuses. This year Amnesty has identified 10 cases in Algeria, Burundi, Chile, Colombia, Malta, Myanmar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Turkey where international pressure can make a huge difference in marginalized communities’ lives.
